Mount Meru is an active strato-volcano located in Arusha National Park, where one can enjoy wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, buffalos, elephants and monkeys. It is the third highest mountain in Africa and second in Tanzania, at a height of 4,566m.
A Mount Meru expedition can take place at any time during the year, although it is always better to take advantage of the dry season and enjoy the stunning views from its lush forests to its steep ridge.
There are sleeping areas with shelters, and it can be climbed in 3 or 4 days. We climb with authorized guides, cooks and porters. It is advisable to climb Mount Meru before the expedition to Kilimanjaro in order to improve the conditions of acclimatization.
